Our hillside estates, owned by our family since generations, are located in a unique position suspended between sky and sea: from the top of the gentle hill of San Vito (127 m a.s.l.), they face East on the sea of the Trabocchi Coast, enjoying on West the protection of the mountain massif of Majella.

The hillside soils evolved on clayey marine sediments and have a good permeability to rainwater and a medium-textured clayey composition, characterized by a good limestone component and a rich minerality. These conditions are optimal for the cultivation of Trebbiano and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes of precious quality, so our vineyards of these grape varities are all located in our hillside estates.

All cultivated with tendone training system, the excellent maturation of the grapes in these vineyards is guaranteed by the sunny, dry and mildly ventilated microclimate: the warm sun rays filter from the covering of the leaves and disperse homogeneously on the grapes, without ever appearing in excessive intensity, ensuring a complete and uniform ripeness. Mostly for this reason, tendone has always represented for us the best choice of training system, also going through manual processing steps that allow us to directly and carefully check the quality sought in the vineyard, at any time during the production cycle.
